To enhance the wellness of people with mental illness, through helping them achieve goals in the world outside of illness and therapy models.

In support of this mission, we do the following:

  • Assist clients to overcome barriers to fuller participation in the wider community.
  • Work with clients to develop plans and strategies to enable them to move closer to gainful employment.
  • Liaise with, and actively support, other agencies engaged with clients. Ensure confidentiality in all dealings with clients, staff and other agencies. This does not preclude action being taken to keep people safe.
  • Offer a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment in which to work.
    Provide appropriately experienced and trained staff to assist clients in our programmes.
  • Make available resource material that may enhance our clients well-being.
    Professionally assess the need for, monitor and evaluate, all programmes ensuring client input and cultural sensitivity.
  • Respect clients’ wishes and provide facilities for complaint and appeal.
  • Maintain management systems to ensure accountability and integrity of Victoria House in meeting its goals.
